Everyone can imagine what occurs when sight is lost. But can you realize what occurs when an individual overcomes this loss to be included in a sport and fall in love it!
Such is the case with this National Blind Golf organization. It welcomes both established and new players to a game of golf, which they may have never known they could accomplish!
This association welcomes all sight loss categories from B4 (tunnel vision) to B3/B2 (visually impaired) to B1 (totally blind) in the USA as well as Canada!
Want to learn more?
Almost every tourney has a learning clinic for new adults and children who have lost part or all of their vision and want to learn from others who have already adapted to striking a ball, which they usually cannot see! Play for fun or in a tourney, where the rules are the same as on the PGA, yet players are allowed to have a coach, who can do all the things a caddie cannot do, such as describing the hole, where you want to be, and where to avoid. As well as stand behind you during any shot to describe the ball direction and flight path.
The organization welcomes all sight loss adults to join, even if they are included in another sight loss sport.
You’ll never expect to hear these people smile!
